MY LEARNING FALL AND RISE

When I started American Literature, I was scared because I thought I was not prepared to take the class. When I entered through the door the first day everyone started looking at me because I was late and could not find a seat. I was nervous because I didn’t know anyone in the class neither the teacher. The first thing that came to my mind was to drop the class the following day because I knew I was going to failed it. Once the teacher started talking, I found something interesting about him because he was different from other teachers I had before.  He let us choose how the class would run over the semester. He gave us a couple of minutes to decide between a book or a blog page on the internet. The class picked the blog page on the internet over the book.  I chose the same option as wellAfter he gave the instructions to the class, he left the classroom and I was astonished because I have never seen anything like this before. I like his style of teaching because he gave us the freedom to choose how we want to work.
I believe that everything in the class was a challenge for me because this semester I never did something like this before, I have never used a blog for a class or post a video of myself on the internet. Everything was new for me and I was scared, but at the same time I was excited. When Dr. Preston told us to memorize the first poem and posted on our blogs at the end of the week, I was worried because I never thought that I was capable to memorize a poem. I recited the video and I posted on my blog on Friday night. I was not perfect, but I felt the satisfaction in doing it.
I recalled one time I felt tension in the class because I was procrastinating a lot and I had many assignments due. This action lowered my grades.  I call to mind, one day I only slept 4 hours because I had to finish the Young Godman Brown assignment which was due the following day.
