    Ch. 1: he decided to share that information about Gatsby to inform the readers or give them an idea of how mysterious he was.
    Nick decided to move to East Egg because he wanted to start his own life instead of following into his families footsteps.

    He decided to move to the East Coast because he wanted to start his own life and not into his families footsteps.
