young Goodman Brown questions

1 think Hawthorne's purpose was to create the truth perspective about the people we think are impeccable in the world, for example, the preacher of the story and the governor's wife nobody thought they practiced devil workship.

2. Faith's name fits with her personality because in the story he never saw her doing something wrong, the story just tells when her pink ribbon disappears. I don't think goodman Brown believes in faith because when he saw the pink ribbon in the woods he thought that her wife was gone to the dark side. Also, he spied her

3. I think the pink ribbon is something for the hair like a clip or a hair bow.

4. I think goodman Brown was dreaming because the text said when woke up and found himself in the woods everything was normal, his wife wasn't gone with the evil. he staggered against the rock and felt it chill and damp, while a hanging twig, that had been all on fire it chill and damp, while a hanging twig, had been on fire, besprinkled his cheek with the coldest dew.

5. the old man was evil because he was sitting waiting for goodman brown, also he carries a staff the wriggle itself like a living serpent, I think that is unusual for a normal man.

6. The staff represents evil and his appearance looks like a black snake.

7. If  Brown had never ventured into the forest he probably would’ve the same and see everything normal. If  he’d stayed home he probably have faith in everything in all the people around him or at least in his wife. Goodman Brown never trust in faith again.
