Gatsby tells Nick how he met Daysi.
Daysi and Gatsby made love, but he left her because of the war. Daysi promises to wait for him but she was desperately anxious the longer he was away. In the spring she meta and married Tom who matched her lifestyle. Her family approved their relationship. When Gatsby returns from war, Daysi was on her honeymoon with Tom. Despite this Gatsby was still convinced that they will end up together.
On the other hand, Mr. Wilson was suffering from his wife's death and her infidelity. Tom remark him that is wasn't an accident. Also, Tom said that it was Gatsby's car that killed Myrtle. Mr. Wilson went to Gatsby's house and shot Gatsby in his pool and later killed himself.
SADLY NICK WAS THE ONLY PERSON THA CARES FOR GATSBY.
My Point of view:
I think gatsby always cared about Daysi and he believes that even though she was married they will end up together, he risked everything for her. What he becomes and what he did was to catch Daisy's attention. But he never felt that same way.
